Terms
The rules for using the relay and buying Pro.
- Parties. Seller: sigelo, a business registered in the European Union; legal name and registered address on invoices and on request at
contact@sigelo.io("the Seller"). Buyer: a business buying for its trade or profession; the Seller does not sell to consumers. - Software. The relay is AGPL-3.0, the clients MIT; nothing here restricts those licences.
- Free service. Without an account; it may be rate-limited, changed or withdrawn.
- What is sold. Pro is a licence: an attestation signed by the Seller's vendor key to one operator DID the Buyer names, stating allowances and expiry. The attestation is the subscription, for 1, 6 or 12 months. Renewal is a new attestation running on from the old expiry; nothing renews or charges by itself. A new operator DID gets one for the rest of the term, on request. Enterprise is sold under its own contract; these terms apply where it says nothing.
- What is not sold.
- No custody: the Seller never receives or holds a seed, private key or other means of access to the Buyer's identities or crypto-assets, and cannot recover them.
- No payment routing: no payment by or to the Buyer's agents passes through the relay or the Seller, which transfers or exchanges crypto-assets for nobody and receives only its own price.
- No access to content: messages are end-to-end encrypted; the Seller cannot read, scan or disclose them, though the relay sees who talks to whom (Privacy).
- Price and payment. Prices as on Pro, VAT included, billed up front for the period. Contact us for an invoice; pay it by bank transfer, or in Monero less the stated discount. The licence is issued once the payment arrives.
- Service. Best effort: no guarantee of availability or delivery. Support: questions to
contact@sigelo.io, answered over SimpleX, no response time. - Abuse. No spam, malware, attacks or anything illegal. The Seller may refuse a DID used for them and end its licence without refund; messages already delivered are not erased. Notices of illegal use:
contact@sigelo.io. - Warranty and liability. Software and service are provided as is. The Seller warrants only that the licence verifies under its vendor key for its term. Liability is limited to what the Buyer paid in the 12 months before the claim; none for lost messages, keys, funds or profits. They apply as far as the law allows.
- Refunds and end. A licence not yet uploaded to the relay is refunded on request within 14 days of payment. If §9's warranty fails and is not fixed within 14 days, the unused part is refunded. No other refunds. A licence ends at its expiry, or earlier on refund or under §8. Renewal may be refused.
- Data. See Privacy.
- Sanctions. The Buyer is not, and does not act for, anyone under EU sanctions.
- Changes. Changes apply to licences issued after them.
- Law and courts. The law and courts of the Seller's registered seat in the European Union. The CISG does not apply.
